Ride on the back of a dragon with this DIY Knight’s Sword.

You will need:

·  1 Paper Towel Tube

·  2 Toilet Paper Tubes

·  Scissors

·  Clear Packing Tape

OPTIONAL:

·  Colorful Rubber Bands·  Tin Foil

STEPS

Prepare Your Tubes

Step 1: Cut your paper towel tube in half into two equal pieces. Then, line them up and cut one end of each half into a point.

Step 2: Next, cut one of the toilet paper tubes in half into two equal pieces. Cut the other toilet paper tube down the middle, leaving it as one flat piece.

Assemble Your Sword

Step 3: Line up the two halves of the paper towel tube and tape them together.

Step 4: Line up the two toilet paper tube halves and tape the short ends together for your quillon (part of the handle). Leave a slit on the long sides to insert the bottom of the blade and handle.

Step 5: Roll up the other paper towel roll and tape together again to make it extra strong. Then, tape together one of the short ends.

Step 6: Insert the blade and handle into the quillion and tape together.

OPTIONAL: Step 7: Wrap blade in aluminum foil to make it shiny! Remember to fold the foil over the diagonals at the top. Tape the foil to hold it in place.

Step 8: Decorate the quillion and handle with rubber bands (or stickers, markers–anything! Get creative!)
